12/27/2007 Well the year is just about over. Chester is closed until April, so no more long trips up the road for a bit. Let's see what has been going on since I last updated. Barenit left the barn but before he did he raced at Chester pacing in 54.3. He has gone to Yonkers with Pat Lachance in the bike and finshed 2nd in his 2 races there. Fox Valley Assault finished 3rd in his 1st start for our barn. Then we put him in the Constitution Late Closer at Chester, where he finished 2nd in 2 legs, won the 3rd leg in 53.3 and finished 4th in the final. All in all he was great in this series. Hey That's Mine went to Rosecroft she finished 6th her 1st start there then came back with John Michael McIntyre in the bike and finished 2nd. Time to go back to Freehold. JK Reunited has qualified twice at Dover in 58.3 and 57.1. Time for her racing career to start. Jordan's Planet is one tough big hearted little horse. He paces consistantly in the 51-52 range. He finished up at Chester then has started twice at Dover so far and is in New Year's Eve. Montauck has won twice for Pat at Yonkers. WenMar's Handsome went to Dover for a few starts and then came back and finished at Chester. Winbak Red won his qualifier at Dover and then started there once before coming to Chester for The Chester Late Closer. He trotted 54.4 in the first leg and finished second. Then in the second leg the little man switched to the pace in the stretch and Tom Salerno, an Associate Judge at Chester caught it, so Red was taken down from 2nd and place 5th. He made the Consolation of the series and finished 3rd trotting in 55.3. All the babies in the barn are doing great and we are looking forward to their racing careers.
Congratulations to all our owners for a great 2007 and best of luck in 2008!!!
3/24/2008 Let's see what has been going on....Aeon Flux moved up to NW 3 where she picked up a 4th pacing in 56.3. Escape to Paradise won her 2nd lifetime start in 57 flat with Morand in the bike. Hanna's Delight is on her way back after a 4 month lay off. She finished 2nd by a head in her qualifier at Dover pacing in 56.3. Looks like the time off was good for her. Hey That's Mine and Sam Belote won down at Rosecroft in 57.2. Honolulu Hunk is picking up checks every start finishing 3rd his last start. JK Born to Run left the ocean and headed north, he'll be in at Yonkers this week. Jordan's Planet went for the hat trick! he won his 3rd in a row on March 10 this time with Pierce in the bike pacing in 52.3. He is incredible!! Wen Mar has finished 3rd and 5th. Winbak Red has won 2 in a row! he is just a little trottin machine.
The babies, Knoxtrot Hall, Memorialize, March On, and He's a Card are all right on schedule and doing great.
3/08/2008 We had another good week. Timmy drove Aeon Flux to her new lifetime mark of 55.1 and her 2nd win in a row. Wow! Mr Seth Coen's Escape to Paradise made her first life time start with Jimmy Morand, she had the 5 hole and got away 7th but didn't want to stay back there, she got beat a head in 55.3. What a great first start. Congratulations to Mr Coen! Honolulu Hunk and Morgan sat outside for 1/2 mile and finished 2nd trotting in 57.2. The little stud JK Born to Run picked up Timmy and made an uncharacteristic break but still paced in 58.2. Not to be outdone by Aeon Flux, Jordan's Planet and Jim Morand made it 2 in a row also. Jordan paced and won in 51.4. Wen Mar's Handsome and Eddie Davis Jr tried to do it again but it wasn't in the cards. The track was good and the winds were howling but he still finished 3rd. Winbak Red was off for 3 weeks and the rest did him good. Jimmy King Jr drove Red to his new lifetime mark of 55.3
3/02/2008 Last week was a good week we had 3 wins the first 3 nights we raced. Aeon Flux made her 2nd start for our stable with Tim Tetrick in the bike, she went to the front and didn't look back winning by 5 in 58.1. Moving up to NW 2. Escape to Paradise finished 2nd in her qualifier pacing 59.2 and is in to go this wek in NW 1. Good Luck to her and Seth Coen. Hey That's Mine had the rail at Rosecroft but as luck would have the races were cancelled due to the weather, so what happens??? She draws the 8 hole the next week, she got lucky and there were 2 scratches in her race. She finished 4th in 58.3. Honolulu Hunk continues to do well since coming back, he has picked up 3 checks in 3 starts with one of them a win. The sweet little stud muffin JK Born to Run was 2nd in his 2nd start pacing in 58.1 with a 2 second allowance. he picks up Tetrick this week. Jordan's Planet and Jim Morand win 2 in a row in 53 flat and 51.4. What a nice horse he is and he gets a much deserved week off. Palmer's Ztam is having no racing luck. But he'll be fine. And the best news of the week.....Wen Mars Handsome won his first race for us. Eddie Davis Jr didn't care about having the 7 hole and shot out of there and put Handsome on top and just kept going. The finish was exciting as Wen Mar held on to win by the slimmest of noses. That's my boy! YEAH WEN MAR!!!
